What will this be about?
I am relentlessly curious about a range of things but also deeply engaged with thinking about the impact those new things will have on actual people. If I have a focus/talent/superpower it’s for seeing around corners…making orthogonal connections and seeing the impact of signals and drivers two steps down the road. My focus is on how everything that I see will impact learning and development, culture and performance in organizations, and how all of that will affects the humans in those loops. So if you’d like a peek at where these spaces are going, please subscribe and let me know how I’m doing or what else you’d like to see.
Who am I?
I am an anthropologist and historian who translated the skills learned in those disciplines, into a career working at the intersection of innovation, technology, learning, and workplace culture. I have worked in and for the federal (U.S.) government crafting strategic policy to support new technology in order to improve organizational learning. I have done the same in the technology sector and have managed innovation programs at the enterprise level that were both internally and externally focused. I have worked personally with Fortune 500 executives to help them understand the implications of advances in technology and what cultural shifts would be necessary to fully optimize their use. I have experience as a consultant, a program manager and a team leader. I have a record of sensing and assessing emerging technologies in the areas of innovation management, online training, enterprise social networks, collaboration, workplace culture, and crafting strategies and programs to support large-scale learning and innovation initiatives.
