One little piece of business
OK…so I’m a little overwhelmed by gratitude this morning. I asked some of the smartest, most accomplished people I know to just take a little look at this nascent newsletter I’ve started writing and if and ONLY if, they thought it was worthwhile, maybe they could recommend it. Well, two people agreed to recommend it to their networks and one of those wrote something about it and me that’s going to keep me happily bouncing for a while. Then - one of the people I’ve known longest in the learning and development field - safe to say we basically grew up in this industry together - did the extraordinary thing and said he thought the writing was good enough to pay for and pledged money. Actual money.
I don’t want to name folks publicly because I don’t want it to seem like I’m leveraging these folks’ kindness to get others to follow. They know who they are. :) I just wanted to say thank you to them and while the money is just an extraordinary thing and so deeply appreciated, I’m going to try and keep this newsletter free for the foreseeable future and if people are struck with the desire to pledge that’s awesome but that’s not why I’m writing this. I’m writing this to a) get this stuff out of my head-its crowded and b) because I’ve spent enough time in L&D and innovation management to have an opinion and I really like the dynamic of vetting that opinion with other folks and seeing if it resonates.
So thank you to all who have been so receptive and generous - it really means more to me than you know.
